    Interface TraceObservation

    One minimized completed-span observation (M98g).

    serviceAlias and operationAlias are the display aliases the application approved — never the raw service name or span name, which may carry dynamic request paths. traceId/spanId/parentSpanId are validated W3C lowercase-hex identifiers (all-zero rejected); parentSpanId is present exactly when parentVisibility is observed or remote-or-unobserved. links carries at most eight validated link identifier pairs; link attributes are never read. durationMs is the span's measured duration; ageMs the monotonic time since the span was retained. The span NAME, attributes, events, resource labels, tracestate, baggage and exception data never enter the record.

    What the source knows about the span's parent.

    Dense, source-local sequence number.

    The approved display alias for the service.

    16-character lowercase-hex span id.

    traceId: string

    32-character lowercase-hex trace id.
