    Interface TraceDiagnosticsBatch

One page of completed, sampled span observations from the tracing inspector (M98g), read non-destructively.

after/next/lost follow the M98a cursor contract of DiagnosticsBatch exactly: after is exclusive, a cursor older than the oldest retained span returns the oldest retained spans with the skipped sequences reported in lost (per batch, never cumulative), and next is the last returned sequence — or the requested cursor when nothing was returned, so polling an idle application re-sends the same cursor. droppedSpans counts spans dropped before the ring (saturating): a name outside the approved operations map, or a span whose projected identifiers, kind or status failed validation. No absolute time is carried: ageMs describes arrival at this process only.

    closed: boolean

true once the source has closed and retains nothing.

    coverage: TraceCoverage

What completed-span population the tracing stack makes observable.

    droppedSpans: number

Spans dropped before entering the ring (saturating).

    instanceId: string

The instance UUID the batch was read for; equals the requested one.

    instrumentation: readonly TraceInstrumentationKind[]

Auto-instrumentation families whose spans can appear; empty when none.

    lost: number

Ring sequences evicted between the requested cursor and the first returned record.

    next: number

Last returned sequence, or the requested cursor when nothing was returned.

    records: readonly TraceObservation[]

Frozen spans with sequence numbers greater than the requested cursor.

    The configured sampler description.
